Self-amalgamating tape, also known as waterproof sealant tape, is a 10m long and 19mm wide black tape. This non-tacky silicone-rubber tape can be stretched and wrapped around cables, electrical joints, hoses, and pipes to create a strong, seamless, rubbery, waterproof, and electrically insulating layer. It is commonly used to seal joiners on coaxial cable, such as those between an F-connector and LNB on a satellite dish.
