The Omada KIT-EAP230-WALL-v1 combines four EAP230-Wall AC1200 Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit Wall Plate Access Points with one OC200 Hardware Controller to deliver centrally managed wireless connectivity for hotels, offices, student accommodation, healthcare facilities, and other multi room environments. Each access point provides simultaneous dual band Wi-Fi 5 connectivity with speeds of up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps on 5 GHz, delivering a combined wireless throughput of 1,167 Mbps. Featuring MU-MIMO technology, Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, PoE support, and compact wall plate installation, the solution provides reliable in room wireless and wired network access while maintaining a discreet appearance.

Operating within the Omada Software Defined Networking platform, the kit enables centralised cloud based and on premises management through the included OC200 Hardware Controller. Administrators can manage configuration, monitoring, security policies, and firmware updates through the Omada cloud portal, web interface, or Omada application. The platform supports Zero Touch Provisioning, intelligent monitoring, seamless roaming, and scalable deployment, making it suitable for organisations requiring efficient management of distributed wireless infrastructure across multiple rooms or sites.

Wireless Connectivity and In Room Performance

Each EAP230-Wall access point supports IEEE 802.11ac wireless networking with simultaneous dual band operation, delivering up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. MU-MIMO technology enables concurrent communication with multiple client devices, improving network efficiency in high density environments. Beamforming enhances signal quality by directing wireless transmissions towards connected devices, while Band Steering automatically encourages compatible clients to utilise the higher capacity 5 GHz spectrum. Integrated antennas provide 4 dBi gain on 2.4 GHz and 3.6 dBi gain on 5 GHz, delivering reliable wireless coverage for rooms up to approximately 25 square metres.

Centralised Omada SDN Management

The included OC200 Hardware Controller provides dedicated management capabilities for the wireless infrastructure and supports up to 100 Omada access points, 10 Omada routers, 20 Omada switches, and selected GPON OLT devices. Through cloud access, the Omada application, or the web management interface, administrators can perform batch configuration, monitor client activity, deploy firmware updates, and manage multiple sites from a single platform. Zero Touch Provisioning, automatic device discovery, and intelligent monitoring simplify large scale deployments while maintaining consistent network policies across all connected devices.

Secure Access and Network Resilience

Security features include secure guest networking, captive portal functionality, multiple authentication methods including SMS and voucher based access, rogue access point detection, VLAN mapping, and IEEE 802.1X authentication support. Access control policies provide granular management of network resources, while load balancing and failover capabilities help maintain service continuity. The OC200 controller also provides abnormal event notifications, real time topology monitoring, and centralised security management to ensure reliable operation across connected wireless infrastructure.

Flexible Deployment for Hospitality and Commercial Environments

Designed specifically for room based deployments, the EAP230-Wall features an ultra slim 11 mm profile that matches the appearance of standard electrical faceplates, allowing discreet installation in guest rooms, offices, and accommodation facilities. Each unit includes one uplink and one downlink Gigabit Ethernet port, enabling both wireless connectivity and local wired network access for devices such as televisions, IP phones, and desktop computers. Support for IEEE 802.3af/at PoE simplifies installation by delivering both power and data through a single Ethernet cable, reducing deployment complexity and infrastructure costs.
