DESCRIPTION

The MTX-300 controller enables expansion of the alarm systems by adding wireless devices that operate at 433 MHz frequency. It can work in conjunction with SATEL control panels, including: INTEGRA,  INTEGRA Plus,  VERSA and VERSA Plus, as well as MICRA module. It can also be used in any third-party alarm system or automation system, e.g. as a radio controller, to open / close entry gate or garage door by using keyfobs. The MTX-300 supports up to 16 detectors, up to 32 keyfobs and up to 4 MSP-300 wireless sirens. The controller can be programmed locally using buttons located on it or by means of computer with the MTX Soft dedicated free program installed.

It will also perform very well in any third-party alarm system such as HKC etc, as well as in automation systems. Exchange of signals between the controller and the control panel takes place via 8 outputs located on the controller’s PCB, which are connected to the control panel, and via 2 inputs connected to its outputs. Owing to its additional dedicated outputs, the MTX-300 can also inform you about the occurrence of tamper, problems with radio communication or the need to replace the battery in devices included in the system.

  • system expansion by adding SATEL wireless devices: up to 32 keyfobs, up to 16 detectors, up to 4 sirens
  • 8 programmable relay outputs
  • 2 programmable siren control inputs
  • support for MRU-300 radio signal repeater
  • off-line operation option
  • tamper switch activated by opening of enclosure

APPLICATION

Functionality of the MTX-300 can be used in different ways, depending on the type and purpose of the system.

Application of MTX-300

The main task of the MTX-300 controller, utilizing its advanced configuration capabilities, is to enable expansion of the wired alarm system by adding SATEL wireless devices. As a result, wireless motion, flood or smoke and heat detectors can be quickly and easily included, for example, into a home security system. These devices can be used to secure further premises, to protect detached buildings, such as garages, as well as to functionally complement the existing system. The controller makes it also possible to enhance functionality of the alarm system by adding keyfob control capability.

The MTX-300 can also be connected to the MICRA module to extend its functionality

The MTX-300 can also be connected to the MICRA module to extend its functionality by adding capability to control the MSP-300 wireless sirens. Wired inputs of the module can be used to receive signals from an increased number of detectors. As a result, the MTX-300 makes it possible to use up to 12 wireless detectors in the system or expand it by adding extra keyfobs.

Satel Wireless Controller Expander for Third-Party Panels

An interesting application of the MTX-300 is to use it in simple systems of building automation by connecting it to an automation controller. In this way, information from wireless detectors or keyfobs can be transmitted – via the MTX-300 – to the automation controller, which can be used, for example, to open or close the entrance gate or garage door. On the other hand, the alarm signal from the automation controller, when sent to the MTX-300, may cause triggering of the wireless siren. It is thus possible to create a simple warning system without having to use the alarm control panel.

PROGRAMMING

You can configure the MTX-300 controller using the buttons on its electronics board. The four-position LED display shows menus, functions and parameters. For confi guration and diagnostics, you can also use the MTX-SOFT program. Its operation is simple and intuitive, and programming of the controller takes very little time. The program offers an advanced diagnostic tool to facilitate the installer’s work. It indicates which detector has low battery or connectivity issues, and whether its tamper switch has been violated. In addition, it is also possible to check the current level of interference occurring at 433 MHz frequency and to verify the quality and strength of the radio connection between the devices.
